In May and June of 2023, Resensys deployed scour monitoring systems on ten bridges in District 1 and District 2 of Florida. The bridges were located in various locations in Cedar Key, Jacksonville, Warm Mineral Springs, Zolfo Springs, Moore Haven, and Sarasota.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Problems:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Erosion of soil surrounding the bridge foundation (piers and abutments)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Hurricanes and fast-moving water around the bridge removes sediment from around the bridge foundation, leaving behind scour holes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Monitoring of scour conditions that transpire beneath the water&#8217;s surface, where traditional visual inspections are rendered impossible<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>How to address the problem: <\/strong>Resensys wireless monitoring systems have been deployed in a bunch of bridges in Florida and based on the monitoring needs of each bridge<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/resensys.com\/r20\/wireless-products-senspot\/wireless-sonar.html\">Wireless sonar water depth meter<\/a>: strategically placed at specified piers for collecting underwater data (depth, temperature, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/resensys.com\/r20\/wireless-products-senspot\/wireless-water-velocity.html\">Wireless surface velocity radar<\/a>: attached to the bridge for measuring water flow beneath bridges<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Results:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Reliable quantitative measurement of scour around underwater portions of bridges.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Quick and effective continuous assessment of bridges during and after major storms and hurricanes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Utilizing the
