Resensys recognized in Innovation Uncovered’s, The Maryland Future 20 after a state-wide search for innovators, entrepreneurs and manufacturing mover-and-shakers

After a state-wide search for entrepreneurial movers-and-shakers across various industries that have the potential to become Maryland’s next business success story, Resensys was included in Maryland’s Future 20 start-up companies.  The list included companies in industries as diverse as wind turbines, aerospace, pharmaceutical and medical devices, education and cell engineering, and was compiled to showcase Maryland’s entrepreneurs and the pro-business environment that Maryland fosters – as well as Maryland’s goal of being a great place to start and grow a company.

Companies were selected based on criteria such as innovation, “wow” factor, future potential growth and was drawn from innovators, talented entrepreneurs and growing small businesses. 

Resensys’ innovative and game-changing wireless technology as applied to monitoring infrastructure systems against aging and malfunction helped earn their spot on the list.  Governor Hogan specifically mentioned companies that are advancing technology.  With their commitment to ongoing research and technology advancement, Resensys fit the bill.  As a technology company, Resensys strives to adapt, improve and advance its technology to push the envelope of wireless, ultra low power monitoring to meet their customer’s needs and solve customer problems in a cost-efficient, technologically advanced manner.  Resensys recently incorporated “burst technology” monitoring into their long term structural health monitoring solution using NSF Research funding and Resensys prides itself on a customer-oriented research and technology-based approach.

The list also included a strong bent towards companies with “wow” factor and those companies who are helping in the battle against COVID-19.  While Resensys’ solutions are not in the medical or pharmaceutical space, the impact of Resensys’ products confer value as states struggle with the challenges of aging infrastructure within the context of increasingly strained budgets.  As budgets, revenue streams and efficiencies are strained by COVID-19 related impacts, the argument for cost-effective, reliable, accurate and dependable long term infrastructure monitoring solutions grows.  Since wireless technologies decrease installation costs due to no wiring being needed, Resensys’ solutions help with the budgetary impact.  When this is coupled with their “long-life”, easy-install technology, it means that ultra-low power Resensys products can be left in place for long term accurate data gathering.  This means that decision-makers can easily get the data needed to drive their asset management infrastructure decisions even in a COVID-19 restricted environment where in-person travel and interaction is hampered.
